Gil.Barte is a sound artist rooted in the modular and experimental scene. In his constant exploration of sound, he delivers meditative, transcendental and esoteric music, with intriguing, fantastic and dreamlike sound images. His compositions sail through slow ritual rhythms, drum'n'bass-ish incantations and other mystical hybrid forms. A music haunted by glitch and drones, where we lose ourselves in a dark ambient, evoking a forest of faces on the walls, the muffled corridors and the whispers of the basement. After releases on labels such as Homemade Sound System, Neubau and Brokntoys, Gil.Barte's 3rd album 'Gabben' was released on Big Science.
